Buzz Browning, general manager of WWSA-LP 96.9 FM, has been named the 2026 recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award, an honor presented on behalf of the St. Albans Ministerial Association. The recognition reflects Browning’s long-standing impact on local radio and the community he has served for decades. A familiar voice in St. Albans, Browning has been part of WWSA since its early days, with a broadcast career that began in the early 1970s in Matewan, West Virginia.
